What comes back every year, and when. One of these events fills the hotels and pushes prices up: something to aim for or to avoid, depending on what you want.
In late April, bonfires are lit in parks across the country to burn away the winter; in Prague, the celebrations centre on Petřín Hill.
The classical music festival opens at the Rudolfinum in May and runs until early June, in Prague's historic concert halls.
