What comes back every year, and when. These events fill the hotels and push prices up: something to aim for or to avoid, depending on what you want.
In early January, the Bergisel ski jumping competition fills the stands perched above the rooftops of Innsbruck.
In July and August, early music is played on period instruments at Ambras Castle and in the halls of the Hofburg.
At the end of the alpine grazing season, the cows come back down crowned with flowers and mirrors, and pass through the villages to brass bands.
