Whitney, a museum devoted to the history of slavery (closed on Tuesdays), Laura for Creole culture, Oak Alley for its 240 m avenue of oaks, Houmas House for its gardens (from $35). Further north, Rosedown ($12 with the house) in St. Francisville. Two or three visits a day is the maximum.
Can you drive in Louisiana with an EU licence?
