Turin in 4 days
Italy's first capital and long the city of a single industry, Fiat, Turin has kept an arcaded baroque centre and turned its factories into museums. Many travellers pass straight through on the way to Milan, yet it holds one of the world's largest Egyptian collections outside Cairo and is the birthplace of gianduja chocolate.
