When do the slopes open in Zakopane?
The small areas with artificial snow usually open in December and close in early March, like Nosal. The Kasprowy, on natural snow, opens depending on snow conditions.
How much does a day's skiing cost in Zakopane?
The Tatry Super Ski pass, valid at Harenda and Polana Szymoszkowa, costs 165 to 200 zł per day for an adult depending on the period in 2026-2027. At Nosal, a one-day pass costs 145 to 180 zł, the same price for everyone. The Kasprowy cable car is paid separately (129 zł return in low season).
Can you ski in Zakopane without a car?
Yes, partly. Zakopane station is 2.8 km from Polana Szymoszkowa and the Gubałówka funicular leaves from the centre. The Kasprowy cable car is served by city bus, as the Kuźnice road is closed to cars.
Which area should you choose for children or for beginners?
Nosal, whose five runs are all blue and measure 145 to 240 m, with the Strama school. Polana Szymoszkowa has a Kids Park and a 400 m nursery run. Harenda has a very easy 100 m run.
Does the Tatry Super Ski pass give access to Kasprowy Wierch?
The Kasprowy is not always included: the Tatry Super Ski price list names only Polana Szymoszkowa and Harenda in Zakopane, and the Kasprowy depends on PKL. Check with PKL before you buy.
Zakopane or Białka Tatrzańska for skiing?
Białka has 20 km of runs, about 20-25 km from Zakopane. Zakopane offers shorter runs, including those of the Kasprowy on natural snow, and the town; the same Tatry Super Ski pass covers Harenda, Szymoszkowa and Białka.
