The Jura in 4 days
The Jura does not set out to impress, and manages it anyway. Its blind valleys, closed off by cliffs, shelter Baume-les-Messieurs and its abbey, the Hérisson tumbles down a string of falls including the Éventail and the Grand Saut, and the Chalain lake shines turquoise below the forest.

Day 3

Maison du Comté, Polignyabout 1 hComté is France's biggest PDO cheese by volume, and this museum, redesigned in 2021, follows it from Montbéliarde cows to village dairies and ageing cellars.
